There is a new language for those who write emails, converse on Facebook and other electronic means.  It is a type of short-hand and for many of us, it is difficult to figure out.  However, most of those that I figure out offend me.  LOL is ok since it is Lots of Laughs.  But the others . . . it is offensive, and I am shocked when some people  I respect used such language!  Such language is a witness! Yes!  But not one for a Christian.

Of course, I used  a short-hand in the title of this blog.  Some of you will remember the days when it was popular.  In years past, there were buttons that many people wore with the letters PBPWM,GITWMY.  There is no way to figure those letters!  But it gave an opportunity to witness as a believer.  Can you recall what those letters stood for?

Please Be Patient With Me, God Isn’t Though With Me Yet!  Isn’t that a great testimony for those of us seeking to grow in Christ?  No matter how far we may have come in our walk with Him, we know there is still room for improvement.  It also states we are not perfect.  We will behave or act on occasions in ways that are contrary to who we say we are in Christ.

The apostle Paul wrote to the Philippians saying that his deep desire was to live for Christ in such a way that he might be like Christ (Philippians 3:4-11).  Yet, he confessed that he had not obtained that status.  but he would continue to strive.  “Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already been made perfect, but I press on . . . .”  (Philippians 3:12)

We are not alone in our journey to be more like Him.  We have His power and strength to encourage us.  He is at work in us and  will continue if we constantly yield to Him.  There might be some short-hand in electronic messages, but there is no short-cut in maturing in Christ.

Surrender to His Spirit . . . press on in desire, and expect Him to do marvelous things!

“Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry in on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”   (Philippians 1:6)
