Our Plan Failed

Filed under: Uncategorized — lawsonjolly @ 8:32 am

Our plans . . . sometimes our heart’s desire . . . doesn’t work out!  How disappointed we can be.  I know that by experience.  But I discovered that sometimes when my plan fails . . . God has been at work in order to give  much more.

It is fascinating how God can use events to prevent a mistake we might make . . . and to see how he uses it to give us so much more!

That is the experience you will read about in today’s rerun!  Missed Maricaibo www.lawsonjolly.com/2010/01/28.

  1. Dear Pastor Jolly:

I just found your blog and I have been catching up. It is now 1 a.m. and i need to go to bed, but I shall return. Enjoyed very much, like a daily adventure!

Enjoyed your sermon Sunday. We go to Idlewild where our daughter Michelle goes and is very active. She was sick Sunday so we decided to come out to see ya’ll again. It was wonderful! We remember very clearly the first day we heard your message on that Mother’s Day, 1989. We had just moved in to our new home in Dade City, from Z-H where we going to New Hope. It has been so long and seems the Lord has taken us to many churches and we always ended up in a church and involved in the building program. God is so good and has blessed us richly. You and Mrs. Jolly are two of those blessings. May the Lord continue to bless you and your family richly and use you to overcome obstacles of Satan in your ministry. Your sermon was so good and a church that is mission minded will grow. It was so wonderful to see those children and see how they listened to the children’s sermon! I believe there is a great ministry in that neighborhood and I hope that your congregation will be encouraged by you on mission work in the community! Sincerely, Doris
