Got My Attention

Filed under: Uncategorized — lawsonjolly @ 5:00 am

Over the last several weeks there have been some sayings that got my attention.  I read or heard them in different places. I would try to jot them down so that I could remember them. They are not original, but they contain so much truth that I wanted to share them with you. None of these cited the author or originator.

I had assumed I would do a blog on most of them . . . but that might be more in the future.  So I share them with you.  You write your own mental blog as to what they say to you.

 1.  Jesus is our steering wheel, not our spare tire.

 2.  Baptism does not require that you know how to swim.

 3. I live in my own world —  but it’s ok — they know me there.

 4.  No one is rich enough to buy back the past.

 5.  A bad habit is like a comfortable bed — easy to get into, but hard to get out of.

 6.  Age is not as much a time of life as a state of mine.

 7.  Volunteers don’t get paid — not because they are worthless, but because they are priceless.

 8.  If you climb into the saddle, be ready to ride.

 9.  Well behaved women rarely make history.

10.  Never drive faster than a guardian angel can fly.

11.  Don’t let where you are be a prophesy of what you will be. Be more.

12.  God, keep an arm around my shoulder and a hand over my mouth.

13.  Today is a gift — that’s why they call it the present.

14.  One way to measure success as a parent is the way your children describe you to others.

15.  You only live once.  But that is enough if you do it right.

Enjoy . . . meditate on these . . . it will surprise you what they will communicate.
