Thirty-Seven . . . .

Filed under: Uncategorized — lawsonjolly @ 5:00 am

I began blogging at the request of one of my grandsons.  He suggested that I use the blog to tell some of my experiences.  He thought it was a good way for me to share with the family.  Now here I am . . . having written over 525 blogs.  I sure must have a lot to say!

I never knew it would continue this long.  However, through the past couple of years, the readership has grown beyond my dreams.  Certainly it has extended beyond family.  My blogs, as you regular readers know, vary in subjects.  It just happens to be what crosses my mind that day or during the week.  Many of my blogs share a Scripture verse because it so relates to my experience.  I have not used the blogs to share a spiritual devotional.  (Though sometimes it does give a spiritual thought.)

But something was just revealed to me . . . I cannot fathom what it really means.  My site is monitored and I was given some very revealing statistics. I have readers in thirty-seven different countries! Did you catch that?  Beyond the United States, my blog is being read in thirty-seven different countries around the world.  Isn’t it amazing how the internet has connected the world?

I will not list all the countries, but some . . . Czech Republic, Russian Federation, Singapore, Greece, Norway, Zimbabwe, Mali, Poland, Slovenia, Ukraine, Uruguay, South Africa, Brazil, Viet Nam . . . and that is to name only a few of the thirty-seven!

So what does that mean?  Any significance?  I cannot answer my own questions, but I do wonder?  One thing I know . . . those readers are bilingual or they are English-speaking persons living in those countries.  Either way, I am grateful and thankful to all of you who are reading my blogs!

I never assume the spiritual condition of those who read my blogs, but I do trust that through them, all readers will find what Jesus Christ means to me . . . and how He can be the power and substance of our individual lives!  I am just grateful that such a testimony can be going around the world!

So with a grateful heart today, I write this blog.  Thirty-seven . . .  and counting!

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” (Romans 15:13)  “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”  (John 3:16)

  1. Lawson, I love to read your blogs, and many times I have shared them via email to some of my friends. I look forward to opening my daily email to get my daily dose of “Jolly” as I call it. The stories a very good and well written and I especially like the scriptures at the end of the blog.
You are truly an inspiration, no wonder that the churches you have pastored in the past, don’t want to let you go. I look forward to my daily dose tomorrow.
